Professional Engineer
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
-
Current Professional Engineering License in the State of North Carolina
-
5+ years of relevant experience in civil design, construction and/or project management
-
Broad knowledge of standards, principles and practices of civil engineering
-
Track record of leading design and managing projects
-
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Job Duties include:
-
Preparation of final construction drawings and specifications
-
Perform work with a small team through civil site/land development design, permitting, and construction observation on a variety of residential, commercial, and institutional projects.

Grading and drainage design
-
Perform and prepare technical design calculations associated with land development projects (i.e., storm drainage hydraulic sizing, water distribution modeling, best management practices (BMP), sanitary sewer collection systems, erosion control measures, etc.).

Advanced hydrologic and hydraulic analyses (beyond rational method)
-
Perform preliminary engineering evaluations, including quantity take-offs and opinions of probable construction cost.

Management of projects through construction, including field visits and contractor interface, RFI response, and preparation of construction field directives

Professional Land Surveyor

Surveyor In Training
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
-
2+ years of progressive surveying and project experience.
-
Experience with GPS and Robotic survey equipment.
-
Must be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Work, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills to discuss projects with clients.
-
Ability to obtain Professional Land Surveyor License when required experience is obtained.
Job Duties include:
-
Work closely with P.L.S. owner to monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
-
Compilation and organization of projects' daily field data and office computations.
-
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for the production of various drawings, including, but not limited to, detailed topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, boundary surveys, elevation certificates, FEMA LOMR-F, house staking and plot plans, construction staking computations.

Project Management.
-
Proposal preparation, negotiating scopes and fees, billing, client follow-up maintenance and assistance in collection of fees when required.

Perform calculations using surveying formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems.

The successful candidate will be able to manage/perform projects that may include ALTA/NSPS Land Title, boundary, route, topographical, construction, control networking, elevation certificates; FEMA LOMA and LOMR-F, and construction staking computations.
