Bartlett Engineering & Surveying, PC (“BE&S”) is proud to announce that Daniel Abrams, PLS, a professional land surveyor with the firm, has been named Young Surveyor of the Year by the North Carolina Society of Surveyors. The award recognizes outstanding professional achievement, leadership, and service to the land surveying profession across North Carolina.

The Young Surveyor of the Year honor is presented annually to an individual who exemplifies excellence early in their career while demonstrating a commitment to integrity, service, and professional growth—values that align closely with BE&S’s mission and culture.

Abrams has spent more than a decade intentionally honing his skills in land surveying, approaching his work with a servant-minded attitude, enthusiasm for the profession, and a desire to make a lasting, positive impact on both clients and the community. His work reflects BE&S’s mission to continually improve in providing engineering and surveying solutions while serving others and honoring Jesus Christ through excellence and integrity.

“Being named Young Surveyor of the Year is an absolute honor, and I am truly humbled that my peers in the North Carolina Society of Surveyors consider me deserving of this recognition,” said Abrams. “Over the past decade, I have poured my heart into this profession, and to be recognized in this way has reinvigorated my passion for land surveying.

“I am grateful to have had—and to continue to have—exceptional mentors and role models who have helped guide my development. Among them are my father, J. Paul Abrams; my grandfather, Dr. Dan Crocker; Tony Bartlett; Frank Mundy; Sherri Barron; and many others who have invested in me along the way.

“I am especially thankful to my Savior, Jesus Christ, for blessing me with a career that feels more like a calling than a job. I look forward to continuing to serve the community of Wilson, the great state of North Carolina, and the North Carolina Society of Surveyors for many years to come.”

At BE&S, Abrams is known for his intentional approach to problem-solving and commitment to transformative outcomes for clients and communities alike. His recognition as Young Surveyor of the Year reflects not only his personal achievements, but also the firm’s dedication to developing professionals who lead with purpose.
